Netta Mae is a clinical herbalist and teacher as well as a mama, activist/organizer, outdoor adventurer, and magic-maker.
The heart of Netta’s work is to support people in finding their personal paths toward healing. She believes that the health of an individual is deeply connected to the health of our communities and that in order for us to be well we must fight for collective liberation. Netta believes that change and healing are possible!
She sees her work as an herbalist as being an integral part of collective healing working to create sustainable and resilient communities that are not dependent upon capitalist systems of oppression but rather on mutual aid and relationships.
Netta is committed to bringing clients high quality herbal consultations and formulas specifically designed to meet their individual needs according to their physiological and energetic patterns. She sees herself as a match maker between the plants and her clients, following their lead to collaborate on a plan forward. She enjoys bringing magic and ritual together with science and evidence based practices and sees the plants as allies in our work.
She is dedicated to accessible care for all people, especially teens and youth, queer and trans folks, families, and people who typically may not have access to alternative healing modalities. She works with all health concerns and goals but has special interests in healing trauma and supporting the nervous system which is so needed for all living in late stage capitalism.
Netta Mae graduated from the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism in 2015 and never left! She has been teaching and practicing as a clinical herbalist with VCIH since 2016. She is dedicated to continue learning and growing herself and considers it a great privilege to be a part of that journey for others.
Netta lives and practices on Koasek Abenaki land and she is in deep gratitude to the people whose ancestral land she is on. She is constantly working on what it means to be an ally through healing work and teaching, especially in the occupied territories of North America.
